Comments
Comments: Sargent Path hadn't seen any recent use, but was really bony. Rocky footbed with a southern exposure made it tedious with mountain snowshoes, but the snow was deep enough (4 to 10 inches) that Microspiking would have been equally or more tedious with all of the random holes. I'd suggest waiting for 20 inches of snowpack or three-season conditions.

Four Soldiers eastbound had seen some ski traffic in a few places, but was otherwise not broken. Snowshoes (or skis) very much needed, as snowpack was probably around 2 feet. The snowmobile corridor that it crisscrosses was not groomed, but had some sleds on it today.

Pasture Path was also not broken. Bony in a few rocky areas, but snowshoes were the way to go.

Ledge Trail had seen bareboot activity, so it was a postholed mess.

Sunny afternoon with temperatures in the 20s (just above freezing in the sun).
