Comments
Comments: The good news: Conditions on the entire loop were superb today, with a packed surface and little ice. Spikes were the perfect tool and travel was easy and quick.

The bad news: With incoming warm weather and rain, these great conditions will be a mess after the weekend. :(

I chose this one today based partly on a recent report and that report was spot on. Tremendous long-distance views and despite a somewhat busy parking lot I didn't see too many folks along the loop. My car said six degrees at the trailhead but it warmed up quickly and the snow was starting to get a little soft from the sun by late morning.
