Short on time, I rang up (or rather, texted) a friend and as it turned out, we both needed Straightback(S) and Major to finish the B-12s. He finished on Straighback(S) and me on Major on a darn near NPD and very little wind. That more than made up for the lack of miles on this trip. Added a few miles to the redline spreadsheet - because why shouldn't I redline it all?
Spikes door to door. Not everything is over, but ice is thick in most spots going up Brook Trail, boilerplate in a few, and thin/black ice awaits in the most unwelcome spots on Boulder Loop. Snow is not very deep at all and I expect that even after tonight's snow, snowshoes on these trails will not be necessary. |
