Comments
Comments: The snow was hard packed from route 302 up to Zeacliff with only a little less consolidated from Zeacliff to Zealand Mountain. Zealand Road and Zealand Trail easy to bare boot without traction. Much of Zealand Road had the surface packed down by snowmobile traffic (no activity today).

I was able to ascend/descend with care on the Twinway to and from the hut without traction. Uphill from the hut I used snowshoes. The steepest stretch was the slope just after the ZeaCliff Pond spur with the log ladder partially exposed. There is a weathered sign for the Zealand Mountain spur. Zeacliff Trail was not broken out. Although Zealand Mountain was anticlimatic with the sign being the highlight, there were plenty of interesting sights on the way including Zeacliff, open areas on Zealand Ridge, Zeacliff Pond, and Zealand Pond.
