Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Frozen enough to cross carefully on a combination of ice & rocs but the first one had thin ice you had to be careful to avoid
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The group that went in last Friday did an excellent job clearing many of the blowdowns. I cleared a few more. There are still maybe 10 that need work esp if the snow gets deeper. There are many places the loose branches are frozen into the snow so couldn't be easily thrown to the side.

Comments
Comments: I used rock spikes right from the car then swithced to good spikes at the hut but my friend barebooted halfway up to Garfield Ridge Trail before putting on spikes. I carried snowshoes but the trail is well packed all the way up. By the end of the day most of the lower flat section of the trail was snow free.
