Plenty of parking at Appalachia - lot a little icy. |

No issues (stream crossings on this route are minor). |

No real blowdown issues - one step-over low on Valley Way. Signage okay, though Air Line Cut-Off sign and post (near hut) are down. |

Valley Way: a bit icy down low, with a couple of larger flows roughly midway - microspikes worked fine.
Switched to crampons for above-treeline trips to Adams and Madison - generally good footing for crampons, with mix of snow, icy snow, ice, a little soft snow, some rocks. Cairns on upper part of Adams obscured by rime and drifts, though not a problem with today's good visibility. |
