 | Comments: |
Barefooted the first 100 yards to the brook crossing where I applied my micro spikes. Left micro spikes on for the remainder of my hike. The trail going up to the first lookout was either bar rocks, leaf covered ground or solid ice. All slabs were cover with shear ice. I turned around at the first lookout after seeing all the ice on the slab leading to it. I hike this trail 30 times a year and these conditions make it treacherous and no fun. I'll be back once we get more snow. |
