Trail is a nightmare 1.5 miles in and to the Carriage Road. Carriage Road is completely blocked at the junction, toward to the summit. Endless broken trees all over the trail, including the steeps. |

I've been hiking this trail for 30 years and have never seen anything like this. Bring a saw if you go and want to help. It was exhausting getting around, through, under and over all the downed trees. Really needed a chainsaw to do this hike. Could not go left at the junction given the cluster of trees down and gave up at that point, doing the south summit instead, like everyone else out there. |
