Comments
Comments: Doublehead Ski Trail is a SKI trail, which means it shouldn't be postholed by barebooters/Microspikers. Please wear skis or snowshoes during the snow season.

Lower portion of the trail is a mixture of granular and open ground from the heavy rains. Snowpack becomes complete once the ascent starts, but there are still some rocks sticking out. Soft in the sunny areas around lunchtime today, but otherwise fairly firm where folks had snowshoed/skied before the rain. People were otherwise postholing today (except for those of us who wore snowshoes).

Microspikes would probably be adequate on the HIKING trails.

Maybe 6" of snowpack down low, increasing to about a foot in the upper elevations.

Beautiful late fall day with blue skis and temperatures around freezing.
