Elwell/Goose Pond Trailhead was not plowed but snow depth was minimal. Looks like all vehicles made it. If parking lot is an issue, you can park at the Wellington State Park - gate is open to the park - no fees. |

We saw a couple of happy dogs but dogs may not be allowed here. The start is within Wellington State Park boundary. |

Terrific afternoon hike. We headed up to Little Sugarloaf then Sugarloaf then looped around the east side of Goose Pond. Traction needed. Snow increased in depth the higher we went up...definitely less people continue past Little Sugarloaf. The trail after that did not have much boot traffic. |
