Was going to do a North Twin, South Twin, Zealand, Hale loop. Got: North Twin :/ There's 4-6 inches of snow on the river walk and the first 0.5 mi of the ascent. Bare boots make the most sense. After that it's way deeper like contiguous drifts 3'+ and 2' average depth above ~3000' so you'll want snowshoes. I knocked a lot of snow overhangs down but there's plenty left and it's still a carwash so bring a light waterproof. Trail to North Twin summit is rough packed (you're welcome) but I was gassed and out off the and patience so beyond that it's untouched by human feet |
