Comments
Comments: A mix of conditions. Trail is in good shape--starts off bare, then light snow/ice. Once the snow/ice became more significant, I put on Hillsounds. Gave me all the traction I needed. Trail was well packed, snowshoes went for a ride. About a foot of snow as approach treeline -- beautiful! Above tree line today was socked in, no views. Nineteen degrees and windy (30mph steady, 50 mph gusts) made trail finding a bit tricky as no footprints remained. But I (and others I met on the way) made it to summit with no problems. Decided against continuing to Eisenhower -- fog and wind made me decide to wait for another day. Fabulous hike in the snowy woods!
