Well, with winds high in the presidential, the Presi were gonna have to wait again and I went to Cabot with my friend. I saw that there was a post on the face space two days ago and I saw people have spikes on and booted and it did not look like it was enough for snowshoes and way too bony. Therefore, the snowshoe stayed in the cars in the spikes came. We made it to the summit without spikes as there was not that much ice and pretty firm packed from the amount of people that had come over the weekend. I then put my spikes on once we came back down at the view and until we get down to the river area as there was a lot of mud , still thawing out. There are some new trees down, probably in the last few days from the winds between the cabin and the summit and the normal down trees along the trail still. Only saw two footprints that they had done the loop and saw no other people just animal prints. Grit it out Cabot onto the next month. |
