Comments
Comments: Winter is back in the Whites! About 18″ of fluffy, sticky powder, well-packed thanks to previous snowshoers. My snowshoes and spikes went for a ride, although others in the group were more comfortable in spikes.

North Twin Trail was mostly mud for the mile walk in, then switches to snow pack for the whole way up Fire Warden’s Trail.

Haystack Road was mostly fine to drive on – only a few sketchy parts towards the end. But I imagine if these conditions keep up, it will close within the next few weeks.

Perfect early Winter-y hiking conditions. Get out there and enjoy it while you can!
