| Dog-Related Notes: |
There are three specific K9 challenging ledges between The Link intersection and the first castle-overall this is a dog difficult trail. Snowpack eased difficulty for Grete at these ledges nominally-she still needed boosts. She did a good job today, working hard particularly above treeline in a tough windchill. |

| Comments: |
An inch or two of new snow over this less traveled route to Jefferson. Used kahtoola crampoons and snowshoes-microspikes would be adequate. Some frozen crust and ice underneath;minimal ice flows.
Above castles wind blown snow drifts, snowshoes recommended for above treeline. Great day out with sunny skies. Used snowshoes from The Link to parking lot to consolidate trail. |
