As previously posted, hard packed sidewalk to the height of land..microspikes were perfect. The footbed softened greatly heading across the bushwack with some drifted in spots and other choppy spots from barebooters so we put on snowshoes there and left them on back to the T tree. Isolation Trail packed and smooth sailing. Upper bushwack had some punch outs but was great in snowshoes. Davis Path had several areas of fresh drifted snow which was a blast..also fresh snow headed up the summit spur.
Breezy but not that cold on summit..higher peaks were socked in though there was some clearing on descent. Nice to run into Sleeveless and the OTHH crew. Very excellent day out with Valerie, Sarah, and Hannah |
