Comments: Great day for the Loop. Microspikes above Shining Rock spur were necessary and then off and on on the ridge (I kept mine on).
Microspikes good to have going down on Greenleaf but must-have on Old Bridle to just below the last rock outcrops.

NE wind was a sustained 45mph at top of Lafayette (measured with an anemometer) but was easy to get shelter on lee side for lunch.
