Plenty of parking at the trailhead for the Elwell Trail. Four cars in the lot when we started; four in the lot when we left -- room for another 10-11 cars. |

Nothing of note. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All is in good shape. Two large, old blowdowns (one on Elwell Trail at the crux, just north of Little Sugarloaf summit; the other on the Goose Pond Trail) have been removed. One of these had been around for over a year; the other, for about 10 years. Nice to have them gone now. |

 | Comments: |
A quick jaunt for some fresh air; saw just 2-3 other people.
NOTE: it's a mast year for oak trees -- stay frosty!
Water levels everywhere, in particular on Goose Pond, are very low, down by at least two feet from normal. Beaver dam near the pond outlet is falling apart -- the active colony from a couple of years ago has probably packed up and left. |
