Comments: Great day for the Kinsmans. No view from the top but great soft, white light today up high. Trail is icy for the first 1.5-2 miles with a crust of snow over it as you ascend.


Above the Bald spur it becomes more hard packed snow/ice, all with a trace to 2 inches of powder as you ascend to the ridge. We used microspikes all day with no trouble although it required some care. Ran into Tim and he played with his snow shoes across the ridge. Great day out with Cynthia. Nice meeting Tim...
