 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Two blowdowns right next to each other about 1.9 miles from Dugway Rd. trailhead. Saco crew did/doing a ton of work on the relocations. Could use some more cairns/blazes on rock (especially on Middle Moat). |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
One wanted my sandwich. |

Mosquitoes were waiting for me late in the day on the massive rock outcrop. |

 | Comments: |
Felt longer than 10.6 miles with the ups and downs (especially between Middle and North). Easy first couple miles, but a lot of rock to contend with over the final 0.7 or so to the summit of South. Make the trek over to Middle, not much extra effort required and there's a lot of room to spread out and explore a pretty broad exposed summit. I only saw five people after leaving South for the rest of the day.
I think the talus slope on South is simply where the state takes excess rocks every week. And the trail crew did a great job of covertly making steps in there with some seriously large stones. |
