Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Surprisingly easy parking on a weekend. That was unexpected! Arrived at 8:15ish and parked on the road but did not have to walk far at all.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The two water crossings on the Avalon trail were easy to cross with dry feet. The first had two logs or rocks to cross and the second crossing had exposed granite slabs that may or may not be dry but they were not slippery.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of blowdowns that were easy to step over.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Some flies on muddy areas on the Willey trail but they were only interested in the mud, not the people. We had a nice breeze that may have helped.

Comments
Comments: The trail was in good shape. Mud and blowdowns easily avoidable. Great views from Avalon and Willey. More downhills than we expected on the way to Willey but no problem. Go a short way past the summit for a nice lookout for lunch!
