| Comments: |
6-8 new snow on lower sections. Broken out, snowshoes not needed until just before lakes. Used micro spikes from parking lot, past Gem Pool, probably could have used snowshoes after Gem Pool when Ammo stated to climb. Followed another hiker's footsteps and missed portion of trail to Lakes. Ended up coming up on Washington side nt Monroe side.
Crawford from Lakes to Washington required crampons at some spots due to hard packed snow. Saw some bare booting and using micro spikes.
No wind until leaving summit. Great sunny day on the rock pile. |
