Comments
Comments: from 302 to jackson had been travelled yesterday so we found a couple inches of crusty snow to the summit. some ice in the final climb to the top.

we broke the trail from jackson until shortly before mizpah through 4-6 inches of new snow with a crust on top with some deeper drifted areas. one other person had travelled the trail from mizpah to pierce, but otherwise it was more of the same with deeper snow higher up on pierce.

windpacked and drifted snow from pierce to eisenhower with spotty ice that has been pretty throughly travelled after today. eisenhowers cone had quite hard snow with a fair bit of ice in spots.

crawford path heading down had a nice snowshoe track. we wore snowshoes the whole hike. some may want crampons for eisenhowers cone.

nice day. started up jackson with hopes that things might clear off later which they did giving us great views along with some interesting clouds and undercast. hardly any wind on the ridge and decidedly warm. thanks to cynthia and megan for a great day.
