 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The muddiest section of the 'trail' was the parking lot. Enough for 3 cars, one spot quite muddy. It was just us on trail this day and as we arrived, a WMNF truck parked and was still there when we returned but didn't see them on trail |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail |

 | Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Rockhoppable |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Couple of little blowdowns on the lower part of the trail, blazes are very faded but not really an issue for trail finding with the worn path. I can see where it might be in parts in the fall |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
No dogs on trail today and I would think it would be quite a challenge getting one up the cliff section. |
|
 | Bugs: |
We were bothered by black flies and mosquitos on the first couple miles of the trail (going and returning) |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
We kept an eye out for a gold carabiner from a necklace reported lost on a FB page but didn't catch our eye. |

Wonderful approach to Sandwich Dome. So many ledgey outcroppings and overlooks with views in most directions and then a long level ridge walk until you drop into a col and back up again. Fun little scramble that earned it a spot on the Terrifying 25 electives list (the reason I chose the trail) |
