Comments
Comments: Great day out on TFW. Trails were unbroken this morning. One showshoer ahead of me broke trail to just past Avalon junction and then turned around. I broke trail from there to Mt Tom, Mt Field, and Mt Willey. The snow was powder covered with a crust which unfortunately wasn't thick enough to support my weight. 3-5 inches down low to upto a foot in some drifts up high.

Lots of other folks out so trails are nicely packed out now. Day started off cloudy but the skys cleared by the time I got to Mt Field for some great views of Mt Washington.
