| Comments: |
You can't get conditions much better than this. From the Nineteen Mile Brook trailhead to Zeta Pass, the trail is a sidewalk. Bare boots or light traction should do the trick. The Carter Dome trail above Zeta Pas has a few drifted over areas, as does Carter Moriah to the summit. These could likely be bare booted, but snowshoes are a nice idea to keep the trail well groomed.
Note that the Carter Moriah Trail is not broken from above Zeta Pass to Mt. Hight and back to the Carter Dome Trail. There are some pretty deep drifts so it will take a pretty big effort to break it out. Too much effort for an out of shape guy and a poodle! |
