| Comments: |
I was very surprised to see almost 8 inches of snow in the lot when we only received 4-5 in Ashland. It was pretty consistent along Dicey's unless the canopy was real thick and the snow was stuck up there. The snow has covered the ice above the junction in the last .8 of the ascent of Passaconaway but it is still there. Last couple hundred yards has a nice foot of fluff with some drifting.
The Whiteface side of the Rollins trail had much more snow especially where the ridge is thin and the wind can get at the trail from both sides. The scary drop off spot has filled in and is sorta scary. With today's modest wind my tracks were already filling in. Didn't see a soul all day. |
