Comments
Comments: Several inches of new snow required snowshoes. I broke trail, which was not too bad given the relative lightness of the new snow and comparative shortness of the trail. Significant drifting near and at treeline; my tracks approaching the WCT may be gone by now. Some icy patches and rocks, not too far below the new snow surface, were evident on the descent on the lower part of the Crawford Path. Snowshoe crampons were enough traction for the icy/crusty section of the WCT near Pierce's summit.
