A beautiful day all around. The trail has the beginnings of a nice footway most of the way to treeline, with only a few slippery spots where glissaders (wheeee!) have been at it. Above treelike was a mix of well consolidated crusty snow and lightly windpacked drifts. I wore snowshoes up and crampons down; until the next major snow, I'd leave the snowshoes in the car for this one. |
