Comments
Comments: Very cold day at higher elevations with biting wind. Trail in great shape overall. Barebooted to summit of N. Twin and changed to snow shoes although could have/should have put them on on the steeps before emerging at the N. Twin lookout. Trail has been broken out but with blowing drifting snow, had to break out again from near top of N. Twin to Galehead. Easy going, however.

Frost trail well broken out. Only hassle was the last 4 miles on Gale River to Beaver Brook, a continuous stretch of ice. Microspikes were fine but a downer after the powder up high. Great day out with Cynthia who finished her 3rd round of NH 48
