Comments
Comments: Perfect winter hiking day - 20-degree high, blue sky, low wind. Found a sheltered spot on the summit and were able to enjoy a 15-min. lunch without freezing. We were amazed to see that the lower parts of Garfield Trail are practically snow-free. Hard packed trail, spikes all the way (cached snowshoes at the switchbacks).
