Comments
Comments: Trail started off dry with leaves. Some patches of snow before Mt. Surprise that was easily walked on or avoided. The ledges had a thin layer of ice from the day before's melt (I started early) After Mt. Surprise spikes went on until I returned to the same spot. With an early start snow shoes were not needed. Snow shoes would be needed if you start late since the hard pack trail will deteriorate quickly with warmer temps and the sub.
Time to get Moriah for April.
