Bare booted to Garfield summer trailhead.
Microspikes to ridge on well packed trail (little snow down low but good amount on the ridge). Switched to snowshoes on ridge and pleasantly surprised to find most of the trail from Garfield to Galehead had been traveled. Should be well packed snowshoe path after our group.
Left snowshoes on for Galehead and Twins, but all trails had been traveled. Particularly nice packed trail from North Twin down.
Third crossing is well bridged and used herd path to avoid others. We noticed the Fire Warden trail to Hale has seen recent traffic too. Chilly chilly day.... Brrrrrr. |
