Comments
Comments: Dry trail past the Sugar Shack then some mud, wet trails, and patches of snow up to Bald Peak spur. I put on spikes shortly after the spur and used them the rest of the hike. I carried snowshoes but the day was cloudy & cold so I didn't need them. It was hailing once I got to the ridge. A few frozen post holes near the top of Mt Kinsman trail and some minor ice on the steeper rocks near North Kinsman but overall the trail is in good shape. It was nice running into a friend coming up from Fishin Jimmy at the ridge jct and hiking out & back to South Kinsman with her.
