Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Dry Brook is spanned by a bridge. All other crossings are minor.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in good condition. Foot diameter evergreen down on the ground above the Dry Brook crossing. I cut off many limb stubs to make it easier to step over. Large hardwood (oak?) down on ground. I cut some limbs to make the stepover easier. Cut out one tree across the trail. No other obstructions on the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fine for dogs. Saw some dogs today.
Bugs
Bugs: Saw a few. Not a problem.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One hiker lost a glove. Hopefully he found it.

Comments
Comments: No snow on the trail up to South Moat. The ledges had some water but also some dry surfaces. I found the footing to be secure.
The trail between South Moat and Middle Moat had about 10-15% of the surfaces with wet slushy snow with melt water beneath in some spots. Snowshoes and traction not required. Gaiters and water resistant footwear are recommended.
Good views from both summits under the clouds that were at about 5500 feet.
Lots of hikers enjoying the day but not a mob.
No wildflowers in bloom.
