Comments
Comments: We hiked in from the parking lot to the Edmands Path trailhead. It appeared that no one had hiked this trail since the past two days of snow. There were 9 of us so we rotated through the lead breaking out the trail. At the start of the trail there was about 3" of snow on either a hard pack or crust. As we neared the top of Edmands Path the snow was about 12" with drifts of 2' to 3'.

Just before the Crawford Path the trail was solid rime ice. The Eisenhower Loop was also solid rime ice. The temp at the intersection of Crawford and Edmands Path was -10 degrees. Winds at on top of Eisenhower were in the 40s, as forecasted, which made it difficult to hike without getting knocked over. Just as we got to the summit, the clouds cleared out and we got a beautiful 360 degree view including Mt Washington.
