We thought we would be drenched rats today but somehow a mid morning start ended up being perfect. Little mist then we were dry rest of day. Socked in summit opened up wide for us a minute after we arrived and then closed back up after about 15 minutes as we headed down. Thought we would struggle with snow/trail conditions but we were pleasantly surprised. We all wore snow shoes and added no new postholes and smoothed out a lot from yesterday. Snowshoes are key and will make your hike infinitely more enjoyable. Ours was fantastic, would have been hell in spikes. |
