 | Comments: |
Snow is getting soft with the fog and drizzle. I found myself sinking in an inch or two in the previous snowshoe trough. Would have been a disaster without snowshoes. Probably lost a few inches in today's weather, but still full snowpack (some slush poking through in the usual places on Old Mountain Road) remains, close to 2-3 feet deep.
Short version: snowshoes required for the next few days, then it'll probably be best to put this route on the shelf for a few weeks until either full melt or more snow. |
