When I did my big loop hike in Pisgah a couple weeks ago, I was going to do an OAB on Broad Brook Rd since the guidebook described it with a distance. I come to private property signs as the dirt road was about to turn to pavement though so I turned around and considered it redlined. As I was driving by today though, it occurred to me that I should really check access from the other side and see how far I can get in order to consider it redlined. Well, lo and behold, I walked the road to its end between two houses right where I found the private property signs from the other direction and found nothing. Mission complete. The neighborhood was a pleasant one to walk through too. Gaia had me at 1mi, 100ft of gain, 20min. |
