Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow/Ice - Postholes

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Ice bridges are gone. Lower crossings on Basin Cascade and Cascade Brook Trails were treacherous. Upper crossing at the intersection with Kinsman Pond Trail was not possible - turned back there. Crossing from Cascade Brook to Pemi Trail was very difficult and required a trek up stream to find even that.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail sign at intersection of Cascade Brook Trail and Basin Cascade Trail is gone.

Dog-Related Notes: Saw one pup at the trail head about to head up Liberty.

Comments: Hillsound trail crampons were perfect but spikes will be ok while it stays warm. Used snowshoes on the less used Cascade Brook Trail. Be careful.
