A truly splendid day; full sunshine under cloudless blue sky, views to everywhere with Washington the highlight to the north. Very pleasant along open upper trail areas and along ridge from S to Middle. Light wind made a small picnic at south summit comfortable.
Trails were crusty and supportive all the way; postholes were frequent along packed granular path, but more numerous along the ridge. Everyone had versions of microspikes, good all the way.
