Comments
Comments: Wore snowshoes from start to end, loving the televators on the steeps. When I reached the junction with the Scaur Ridge Trail, it looked semi-broken out and I met two women that came up from Livermore. So I decided to take it down on my return from the peaks to avoid navigating those sketchy steep areas on Pine Bend. Thankfully I have a wonderful sherpa boyfriend to pick me up when needed. The conditions were great today! There was an inch of new snow on the trail that added some needed traction over a few icy spots. Most hikers wore microspikes/hillsounds and did okay. I preferred my snowshoes with the larger crampon teeth on the steeps. No major snow drifts even though it was rather windy. A nice sunny day to get these peaks done!
