Plenty of parking at the ski area. At 8 AM parking lot 1, closest to the trailhead, was posted as being by permit only. Parking lot 2 close by had plenty of room at that time, midweek and offpeak. |

Trail had a little bit of new snow over a very firm base. Hillsounds worked well. I carried snowshoes but never had a need for them. There are postholes lurking along the edge of the trail in many locations. There was slight drifting of the new snow near the summit. I saw 5 other hikers on the trail this morning. And I had a very enjoyable visit to The Mountain Wanderer Bookstore in Lincoln on my way home. |
