Trail was in good shape considering how warm it’s been. Still mostly firm packed trail. Especially ascending and on the way down the trail was getting a little slushy and slippery, but no post holes unless you step off the trail. I wore micro spikes start to finish. My crampons took a ride on my pack. Great day to hike to the summit of Cannon. Overall a great sunny warmer winter hike. It started icing when I left the summit and turned to a light rain on the lower sections, but the trail was still firm to the end. |
