Comments
Comments: 17 degrees when we left the car this morning. We made new tracks in the still falling new snow. Zealand Road under the snow was all ice but microspikes did the trick. About an inch of new snow at the beginning of the trail that increased to about 4" on top. If you are looking for winter, this is one place to find it. Our descent was quick and fun with a nice packed base for the top half under the powder. We were able to plow through the powder and slide down the rocks on our feet.

We were passed by Bryan on the way up and met 2 other hikers as we were on our way down. A lot of tracks on Zealand Road so there must have been a lot of traffic to and from the hut. In the parking lot we saw a big group that had camped last night but I guess they only hiked into a camp site.
