Really nice snowshoe trough the whole way. Minimal post holes, no ice flows. Started in spikes and switched to snowshoes early on as there was 1-2 inches of new fresh powder. Stayed in shoes the whole way out and back. Met a really nice experienced hiker, Bill, along the way who was also planning to go to summit Middle Tripyramid, and two other gentlemen en route to North - all wearing snowshoes too. Wondering what happened to the Pine Bend trail sign at the start of the trail? |
