Comments
Comments: Crawford up to Pierce is packed solid and like a sidewalk. Saw a 8 hikers, all wearing spikes or bare booting. I did snowshoes up and back and that was a breeze. Crawford over to Eisenhower Loop was drifted and hadn't seen much traffic. The worst spot on the entire hike was the open ledges about a 1/4+ mile from the junction. The wind knocked me off the trail a couple times. The climb up to Eisenhower was not nearly as bad in terms of wind (and very shallow, hard snow mostly), but it was easy to get off the trail in places. I spent 2~3 seconds on top of Eisenhower and got down quickly to get out of the wind. Pierce was nothing as usual, but there were tracks leading off towards Jackson. I had two spikers following me to Eisen so my finely laid track was trashed most likely.
