Zealand Road is pretty icy. The new snow helped and I walked in the path of a polk and that also seemed better.
There are some icy stretches on Zealand Trail mostly confined to the conifer sections of the trail. The mixed\open woods seemed to have more snow and much better traction. Except for just above the hut, the twin way is in great shape. I used micro's out and back but snowshoes would have been more efficient from Zealcliff up. 6-12 inches of fluff with some drifts. It snowed very hard today and my tracks were quickly filled in. Probably 3 feet of snow up high. |
