First small crossing and crossing on new section of Gale River Trail both ice bridged. |

No blowdown issues. Signage seemed okay. |

| Comments: |
Snow: maybe an inch at trailhead, with icy and scratchy conditions for a couple of miles. More snow as one climbed - perhaps 6 to 8 inches of new snow at highest elevations, over a limited base. Some rocks still sticking out even up high, but the next storm may require snowshoes.
Twinway on South Twin was reasonably well filled in, though unconsolidated snow on ice/rock drop-offs was awkward. Used microspikes for the entire trip. |
