Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All solidly ice bridged though tread carefully as it sounded hollow in a couple spots
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Cleared a few small blowdowns with my small silky. Limbed up some larger ones to allow better travel. Snow will soon cover some of them but a couple larger blowdowns still to clear. For now east enough to walk over or around
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Ruger seemed to have a great day with no issues
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a broken trekking pole on trail. Brought it to the sign and placed it next to its companion
Comments: Absolutely stunning day with great friends. Some familiar faces out today. Most everyone we saw today had snowshoes on and they most certainly were needed. Powder under crust made for some iffy footing on the way up and snowshoes went on at bald peak junction. They stayed on until back to the car. A few lone post holes to contend with but overall a pleasurable hike on well beaten trail. With more snow on the way snowshoes are the way to go! Get out there and enjoy it!
